Trust you'll know when the time is right

How do flowers know when it's time to bloom? Or trees to shed their leaves? Who tells the birds to feather their nests?

No one.

Really?

Maybe the correct answer is everything . . . in the natural world.

The sunshine, rain, earth, weather, and the organism's very nature work together in harmony to maintain balance, to nurture growth, to trigger when actions should take place.

Can you hear what nature is trying to tell you?

Probably not.

We live in environments so detached from nature, it's hard to hear ourselves think sometimes. Much less understand what natural cycles, rhythms, and patterns are trying to tell us.

But getting reconnected may not be as hard as you think.

Remember: you are connected to everything that is or ever was.

Tap into that inner voice, and you connect to the outer world just as strongly.

Your challenge this week is to spend some time quieting your mind. Relax and focus on your thoughts, separating the ones that are really yours from ones that belong to other's opinions. Ask yourself: What needs to happen right now? What do you need to focus on? What are the baby steps you need to take?

Practice connecting to your inner nature and understanding what is truly needed. If you are diligent about following your voice and doing what needs to be done, eventually, you'll fall into your own natural cycles. When you do--just like the flowers--you'll know when it's the right time to bloom, when the ground needs more preparation, and when it's your time to rest.
